Interview for Legalweb

There are things that would be unthinkable in the Czech Republic – but in Poland, they’re commonplace in law. For example, written justifications for judgments aren’t prepared automatically. You have to apply for them… and pay a fee.

In their latest interview on legalweb, Piotr Adamczyk and Paweł Szadorski examine the practical differences between legal systems – this time focusing on the course of court proceedings.

In the interview, you’ll learn, among other things:
▪️ why written justifications for judgments aren’t automatic in Poland,
▪️ how fees affect the course of proceedings,
▪️ how the approaches to recording court hearings differ and what the implications are,
▪️ and… how difficult it can sometimes be to explain to a client that not everything can be sped up.

This is another installment in our series on the differences between the Polish and Czech legal systems, from the perspective of practitioners working on both sides of the border.
