Changes in tax law in Slovakia never go unnoticed – especially when they affect entrepreneurs and the daily operation of businesses. On January 1, 2025, regulations introducing a financial transaction tax came into effect. While the name itself may sound technical, in practice the new regulations mean additional burdens, new administrative obligations, and – unfortunately – more questions than answers.
