Does Ostrava need its own law school? The debate continues – and the answers are far from obvious.
In the latest legalweb interview, Pavel Otipka, counsel at HAJDUK & PARTNERS and regional representative of the Czech Bar Association, weighs in. And although he says he’s a local patriot, he approaches the topic very soberly.
“I don’t think we need another law school – not even in Ostrava.”
However, the interview goes beyond just “yes” and “no.” It’s a conversation about the real needs of the market, why there’s no shortage of law graduates yet not all enter the profession, and what the relationship between universities and practice should be like.
